Questions

Will this get me cited by ChatGPT or Perplexity?

No tool can promise that. The scan measures whether AI crawlers can reach, read and understand your site, which is a precondition, not a guarantee.

Should I block GPTBot or ClaudeBot?

That is your choice. Crawlers that collect training data (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended, CCBot) are listed in the report but never scored. Only the crawlers that fetch pages to answer a user or power AI search are scored.

What is llms.txt, and do I need one?

A proposed convention: a Markdown file that gives AI tools a short map of your site. Support differs between AI providers, so we treat it as a low-cost extra with a small weight, not a requirement.

How does the firewall check work?

We fetch your homepage three more times with GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot added to our own user agent. We still identify as CodexpertAuditBot; we don't pretend to be those crawlers. Some firewalls also verify a crawler's IP address, so a failure there is a prompt to check your firewall log, not proof.

My site isn't on WordPress. Can I still use it?

Yes. Every check except the WooCommerce product data works on any site.
